Service
Good Shepherd has many opportunities for our teens to serve our parish and community on a regular basis! Click on the button below to sign up for all our service opportunities.
Christ House
The youth have two opportunities to serve Christ House: monthly on the first Thursday and the first Saturday of the odd months. Due to COVID, food is cooked at home, delivered to Good Shepherd, and then a team of volunteers bring it to Christ House and distribute it. Thursdays, we provide turkey and rice casserole, fruit, brownies, and water. The Saturday group is providing bagged sandwich meals, but that may change soon. Volunteers (youth and adult) are needed to cook, provide fruit, and distribute the food, in person, at Christ House. Food must arrive to Good Shepherd by 3pm and volunteers must arrive by 3:45pm. Volunteers serving at Christ House typically return by 6:30pm.
Coffee & Donuts
Throughout the year, the Good Shepherd Hospitality Team hosts Coffee & Donut events after all the Sunday Masses! Volunteers pick up donuts from Krispy Kreme before the 7am Mass, set up the hall, work in shifts after all the Masses to serve donuts and juice, and clean up after the 2pm Mass.
Load the St. Lucy Food Truck
Volunteers are needed after the 12pm Mass (around 1pm) to help load the St. Lucy Food Truck with donations on the third Sunday of every month.
